CID team arrests terror accused from Jammu Bus Stand


Jammu (J&K), Sept 18: The CID (CI) today arrested a terror accused, wanted in a case registered at the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) Police Station Jammu, during an operation at the city’s Bus Stand.

Identity of the Accused

The accused has been identified as Mohd Rafiq Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohd Sheikh, a resident of Chakrabhati village in Bhaderwah, Doda district. Officials said he had been absconding during trial proceedings in court.

Arrest Operation

According to sources, a dedicated Fugitive Tracking Team of CID (CIJ) launched a swift and well-coordinated operation at the Bus Stand area in Jammu and successfully apprehended Sheikh. He was immediately taken into custody.

Court Proceedings

The accused was produced before the court after his arrest and has been remanded to judicial custody for further proceedings.
