
BSF and Punjab Police seized heroin and arms during joint operation in Amritsar
Chandigarh (PB), Sept 18: An alleged drug smuggler was arrested in Amritsar with more than 25 kg of heroin during a joint operation by the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police, officials said on Thursday.

Seizure Details
The operation was carried out on Wednesday night when a joint team of BSF and Punjab Police’s Anti-Narcotics Task Force intercepted the suspect riding a motorcycle. A large bag containing 23 packets of heroin, weighing 25.9 kg, was recovered from his possession.
In addition to the narcotics, a pistol and two magazines were also seized during the operation.
Identity of Accused
According to officials, the accused is a resident of Beharwal village in Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to trace the source and intended recipients of the consignment.
