
NEW DELHI, Sept 23: The ISSF Junior World Cup 2025 will kick off tomorrow at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, bringing together 208 athletes from 18 nations. Hosts India will field the largest contingent with 69 shooters competing across 15 Olympic and two non-Olympic events, with 51 medals up for grabs.
Other major participants include the USA (20), Italy (10), Czechia (9), Iran (8), Croatia (7), Great Britain (6), UAE (5), Slovakia (5), Qatar (4), Oman (4), Spain (8), Finland (3), Netherlands (3), Cyprus (3), New Zealand (2), Saudi Arabia (2), along with 40 Individual Neutral Athletes (AIN).
This will be the second and final Junior World Cup of the year, after the May event in Suhl, Germany, where India topped the medals tally with 11 medals, including three gold.
India’s strong squad includes Olympia silver medallist Raiza Dhillon, former world champion Abhinav Shaw, Suhl gold medallists Shambhavi Kshirsagar and Tejaswani, and bronze winners Naraen Pranav and Adriyan Karmakar. International stars like Arianna Nimber of Italy, Marco Coco, Matteo Bragalli, Luca Gerri, and Croatia’s Toni Gudelj will also be in action.
With 51 medals at stake, the event is expected to showcase the next generation of world-class shooting talent in an atmosphere of high competition and excitement.
