DC Jammu Rakesh Minhas Convenes Public Outreach Camp at R.S. Pura

JAMMU, Sept 24: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Rakesh Minhas conducted a comprehensive tour of the R.S. Pura subdivision today to review developmental works, assess rain-induced damage to public assets and hear grievances of local residents.

The DC inspected damages caused by recent floods at Chak Hansu village and directed concerned departments to take immediate remedial measures. Relief material was distributed among affected families onsite.

During the visit to Melowal, Minhas reviewed damage to the local Gurdwara and instructed officials to ensure timely restoration. He also inspected the heritage railway line site and issued directions for its upkeep and preservation to protect the historic asset.

Later, the DC chaired a revenue review meeting at the SDM Office, R.S. Pura, stressing a people-centric approach by revenue officers. He warned that any report of corruption or delays in service delivery will be dealt with strictly and urged prompt redressal of public grievances.

The tour and meeting were attended by ADC Ansuya Jamwal, SDM R.S. Pura Anu Thakur, Assistant Commissioner Anmol Thakur and other senior officials from line departments.
