CS Atal Dulloo inaugurates Mega Health Camp in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, Sept 23: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo today inaugurated a Mega Health Camp at District Hospital Ganderbal under the Sewa Parv initiative and Swasth Naari Sashakt Parivaar Abhiyaan, bringing a wide range of healthcare services to the local population.

The camp was organized in the presence of Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary, Health & Medical Education; Aijaz Asad, Secretary, Rural Development Department; Anshul Garg, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; and Jatin Kishore, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, along with other senior district officers.

During the camp, senior citizens above 70 years of age were issued Golden Health Cards under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, enabling them to avail free and quality healthcare services. The programme also included NCD screenings, general medical check-ups, TB screenings and mental health stalls, benefiting a large number of attendees.

On the occasion, the Chief Secretary also reviewed key health infrastructure projects in the district. These included the 50-bed Critical Care Block, the District Integrated Public Health Care Lab under the hub-and-spoke model, and block-level laboratories. He also inspected the Mortuary Building, Administrative Block and Public Canteen being constructed under the UT Capex Scheme.

Later, Dulloo visited the Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tulmulla to review progress of the ongoing Yatri Niwas project. He received a detailed briefing from executing agencies and was apprised by Secretary RDD Aijaz Asad on the current status of the project.

Stressing the importance of timely execution, the Chief Secretary directed concerned officials to adhere to approved timelines and maintain high-quality standards. He instructed the agencies to expedite the pace of work to ensure early completion of all projects.
