Jammu, Sept 17: The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved key administrative postings, appointing Bipul Pathak, a 1992-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, as Additional Chief Secretary (Home) in the Government of NCT of Delhi with immediate effect.

Pathak has earlier held several important positions in Jammu and Kashmir, including serving as the Director General of the J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development. In a parallel decision, the MHA has transferred R Gopinath, a 2009-batch IFS officer of the AGMUT cadre, from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to the Jammu and Kashmir segment. Gopinath is expected to take charge of new responsibilities in the UT shortly.
