LG Manoj Sinha highlights India’s strategic doctrine and border development vision during interaction with senior officers
SRINAGAR, Sept 24: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today interacted with a delegation of senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces, civil services and friendly foreign countries attending a course at the National Defence College. He recalled that Operation Sindoor marked one of India’s boldest military responses in recent history, sending a clear message that terrorism will be met with decisive action.

“If there is a terrorist attack on India in the future, it will be treated as an act of war. A fitting, precise and decisive reply will be given to strike terrorist hideouts. India has also made it clear that nuclear blackmail will not be tolerated,” the Lieutenant Governor asserted.
Border Villages as First Line of Defence
Sinha underlined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of treating border villages as the first village
rather than the last village
, emphasizing their importance in national security and development. He said the comprehensive development of border areas in J&K has been a priority under this new approach.
“We adopted a strategic model to balance economic growth, security and socio-cultural integration. Robust connectivity was built to boost trade and tourism. Many forward villages, deprived of electricity since 1947, were finally connected to grid power and the internet, improving quality of life,” he noted.
India’s Message of Unity
Highlighting India’s global vision, Sinha reiterated the ancient mantra of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the world is one family’, which he said will continue to guide India’s role in fostering universal brotherhood and global unity.
