JAMMU, Sept 25: The NHPC Regional Office, Jammu organized a relief camp today to extend support to flood-affected people of the region. The initiative was held under the leadership of Ram Swaroop, Executive Director, Regional Office, Jammu.

During the camp, dry ration packets were distributed, and medical assistance with free medicines was provided to affected families. The event was organized in collaboration with Diva International Foundation.
Kanchan Swaroop, President of NHPC Women’s Club, Jammu, and several members of the NHPC family were also present on the occasion. This relief drive follows a series of camps organized earlier at Marh Block, Pargwal Block, and Bahu Fort Block, where similar aid was provided to those affected by the floods.
Speaking on the occasion, Ram Swaroop said, “It is our moral and social duty to help those in need during such natural disasters.” He highlighted that NHPC, apart from its power generation role, actively fulfills its corporate social responsibility (CSR) through health, education, and infrastructure development initiatives.
NHPC has recently provided financial assistance to the Ramakrishna Mission, Udaiwala, for the establishment of a state-of-the-art eye operation theatre and continues to run free medical consultation services, skill development programs for women and youth, and schools near its power stations.
Among those present during the camp included Guru Dutt, Satnam Singh, Pankaj Vashisht, R P Maurya, and other senior officials of NHPC.
