“It is our duty to preserve Hindi under the Hindi Pakhwada initiative, and youngsters must recognize the importance of languages in building a united nation,” the LG said, urging students and professors at NIT to move beyond the colonial mindset and embrace Indian languages.
Youth’s role in building Viksit Bharat
Sinha emphasized that India’s strength lies in its linguistic and cultural diversity. “By 2047, when India celebrates 100 years of independence, our common goal should be to see a united, developed nation. To achieve this, students must dedicate themselves to removing every vestige of slavery and contribute towards a resurgent India,” he said.
The LG underlined that the world looks towards India with great hope, and it depends on the youth’s innovations, policies, and research to shape the future. “The 21st century is India’s century. Consistent growth and productivity will make India a dominant global power,” he added.
Unity through Hindi
Sinha said Hindi must continue to serve as a bridge between diverse linguistic communities, enhancing cooperation and national integration. He encouraged students to learn multiple languages, broaden perspectives, and foster innovation.

On the occasion, the LG felicitated writers, scholars, and researchers for their work in promoting Indian languages. He also commended NIT Srinagar for establishing the Official Language Cell and conducting several programs to promote Hindi.
