A case was registered under FIR No. 186/2025 following a complaint at around 8 PM when a pedestrian, Rafiq (wife of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh) from Sail, Awantipora, was struck by an unknown vehicle at Chersoo. The injured pedestrian was first taken to a local hospital, then referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar.

Accused Apprehended Fast

Led by SI Ishfaq Ahmad of Toll Plaza Police Post, the team launched a fast-paced pursuit. Within hours, they traced and arrested the accused: Jalal-ud-Din Bhat (son of Lal Bhat) of Paniwa Bugam, Kulgam. The vehicle with registration JK18C-7213 was also seized.
