The Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Trikuta hills, Katra, has witnessed a massive influx of devotees this year, with the pilgrim count crossing 40 lakh by the end of August 2025. Shrine Board officials said that improved facilities and online booking services have made the journey more convenient for yatris.
Authorities have also stepped up security measures in the region to ensure the safety of devotees. The yatra, considered one of the holiest pilgrimages in India, continues to attract visitors from across the globe.
