Traffic Plan & Advisory for September 9, 2025: J&K Traffic Police Issues Update

NH-44 (NHW):
Jammu/Srinagar, Sept 9:Traffic Police Headquarters J&K — Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) is still closed for vehicular movement from Jakhani (Udhampur) towards Srinagar and vice versa due to the road blockage between Jakhani and Bali Nallah. No vehicular movement shall be allowed from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Chenani, Patnitop, Doda, Ramban, Banihal, Srinagar and vice-versa. Commuters belonging to Katra, Reasi and Udhampur town are requested to keep their photo ID card to prove their identification so that their movement can be facilitated smoothly. Please check status of road at traffic police twitter handle, Facebook page, TCUs.

Kishtwar- Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244:

Subject to faire weather and good road condition, after getting green signal from NHIDCL , only LMV's shall be allowd from both sides viz from Anantnag towards Kistwar and Vice-versa on Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road. These vehicles shall be allowd from PP Parana towards Anantnag from 0800 hrs to 1600 hrs from PP Daksum towards Kishtwar from 0900 hrs to 1500 hrs. as per order issued by SDM Chhatroo vide No. SDM/c/2025-26/146-53 dated 16-05-2025 and SDM Kokernag vide No. SDM/KNG/665-71 dated 16-05-2025.

SSG Road:
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, (after getting green signal from the BRO), traffic movement shall be allowed on regulated manner on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road. LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Minimarg towards Srinagar at 0500 hrs. to 1000 hrs. Similarly, LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Kargil at 1130 hrs to 1730 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing. SFs Convoy, plying from Srinagar to Kargil and vice versa shall plan their movement in such a manner so that Civil Traffic (both UP and DOWN) don’t get disturbed.

Mughal Road:
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, (after getting green signal from Road maintenance agencies (GREF), LMVs/Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed from both sides on Mughal road viz from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa via Poonch. These vehicles shall be allowed from Behramgala (Baffliaz) from 0600 hrs. to 1700 hrs. and  from Herpora (Shopian) 0600 hrs to 1700 hrs as per advisory issued by District Magistrate Poonch vide No. DMP/J/9291-9318 dated 31-08-2025. HMVs (Fruit laden trucks six tyres only) shall be allowed from Shopian towards Poonch and no HMV will be allowed from Herpora Naka towards Poonch after 1000 hrs. Moreover, No HMV (Kashmir bound) shall be permitted from Jammu towards Mughal Road. TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar will inform all concerned about the traffic advisory and cut off timings.

From Srinagar Side

Chandhara Pampore 1600 hrs
Galandar via Kakapora 1600 hrs
Marvel Crossing 1600 hrs
Kandizal (Peaks NH-44) 1600 hrs
