Situation Peaceful in J&K’s Doda, Prohibitory Orders Remain in Force

Jammu, Sept 10: Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district say the overall situation remains peaceful today despite maintaining strict prohibitory measures. The restrictions, issued under Section 163 of the BNSS (formerly Section 144), continue to bar assemblies of four or more individuals and prohibit provocative speech, slogans, and carrying of weapons in public areas.

Security Measures in Effect

Shops and businesses are closed in Doda and Bhaderwah, with movement restrictions and a heavy security presence across key areas such as Gandoh, Bhalessa, Chilli Pingal, Kahara, Thathri, and Bhaderwah Valley. Authorities have warned that any violation of the order will be met with strict legal action.

Accidental Calm

A police officer confirmed, “The situation is peaceful. There are no reports of any untoward incidents from anywhere.” No new protests or clashes were reported at press time.
