Srinagar, Sept 7: The Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) has pledged a **₹50 crore** scholarship fund to support needy and deserving students from Jammu & Kashmir pursuing higher education in Punjab. The announcement was made during a press conference in Srinagar, ahead of PUCA’s education summit scheduled for September 8 at Hotel Golden Leaf. 

Education Summit to Feature Top Punjab Institutions

The upcoming summit will bring together around 20 top colleges from Punjab—including Aryans Group of Colleges (Rajpura), Amritsar Group, Patiala’s Ashoka Institutions, and others—along with nearly 200 education counsellors. Students will receive guidance on admission opportunities, courses, and scholarship applications.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, President of PUCA and Chairman of Aryans Group of Colleges, shared that the bulk of the ₹50 crore fund will be allocated via merit- and need-based selections. This initiative aims to ensure that economic hardships do not hinder academic pursuits for talented youth in J&K.
