
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha pays tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh on his birth anniversary
JAMMU, Sept 23: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday paid rich tributes to erstwhile Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh on the occasion of his 130th birth anniversary.
In a post on X, the Lt Governor wrote: “Tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh Ji on his Janm-Jayanti. A statesman of excellence & harbinger of change, he introduced landmark reforms to ensure welfare of the common man. His legacy of inclusive governance, progressive vision & contributions to the motherland continues to inspire us.”
Maharaja Hari Singh, the last ruling monarch of Jammu and Kashmir, is remembered for initiating progressive social and political reforms, focusing on education, justice, and welfare of all sections of society. His role in modernizing administration and empowering the people continues to hold historical significance in the region.
