Div Com Kashmir Reviews Status of Migrant Grievances, Directs Immediate Redressal Action
Srinagar, Sept 9: The Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, Anshul Garg, chaired a high-level review meeting today to assess the resolution status of migrant grievances and related issues. The meeting was attended by all Deputy Commissioners, Additional Commissioners, the Assistant Commissioner Central, OSDs, and the Law Officer.
Nodal Officers and Record-Keeping
Div Com Garg directed Deputy Commissioners to designate dedicated Nodal Officers in their offices to manage migrant grievances more effectively. He emphasized maintaining well-organized records and ensuring timely follow-ups.
Court Cases & Encroachments
He urged that pending court cases involving migrants be pursued actively. A key focus was to identify and remove encroachments on migrant properties and lands without delay.
Grievance Mechanisms & Land Demarcation
Both online and offline grievance redressal systems were called to be managed professionally, with quality and speed. The Div Com also mandated demarcation of temple lands as per court orders and immediate removal of any encroachments.
Data Synchronization
To avoid case duplication and inefficiencies, he instructed synchronization of grievance-related data between DC offices and the Divisional Commissioner office.
