Chief Justice Arun Palli Inaugurates New Court Complex in Handwara, Kupwara
Handwara, Sep 13: Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir & Ladakh, Justice Arun Palli, inaugurated the newly constructed Court Complex at Handwara in Kupwara district today. The ceremony was attended by numerous judiciary and administrative officials including Administrative Judge for District Kupwara Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi; Registrar General J&K High Court M.K. Sharma; Principal District & Sessions Judge Kupwara Manjeet Singh Manhas; DIG North Maqsood Ul Zaman; DC Kupwara Shrikant Balasaheb Suse; Additional Session Judge Handwara Mansoor Ahmad Lone; SSP Handwara Chaudhary Mushtaq; and members of the Bar and legal fraternity.
Facilities and Infrastructure
The new two-story complex, built at a cost of ₹12,73.81 lakhs, includes spacious courtrooms, an E-Court room, record rooms, staff rooms and other support sections. Justice Palli inspected all sections after inauguration.

Addressing the gathering, Justice Arun Palli called it a momentous day for Handwara and emphasized that modern infrastructure will reduce delays, strengthen the rule of law, and improve access to justice. He praised those who worked on the project including architects, engineers and local administration.
Administrative Judge Moksha Khajuria Kazmi said the complex will help reduce geographical barriers to justice, ensuring transparency and fairness irrespective of location. DC Kupwara Shrikant Suse expressed hope that the facilities will help lawyers, litigants and staff work in a more congenial atmosphere.
