NEW DELHI, Sept 24: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced that the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations will begin on February 17, 2026, releasing a tentative datesheet for the crucial exams.
For the first time, CBSE said Class 10 board exams will be held twice in a single academic session. The first edition of Class 10 papers is scheduled from February 17 to March 6, 2026, while the second edition will run from May 15 to June 1, 2026. Class 12 exams are slated from February 17 to April 9, 2026.
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj also outlined the board’s evaluation plan: assessment of answer scripts will generally start about 10 days after each subject’s exam and be completed within 12 days. For example, if Class 12 Physics is held on February 20, evaluation is expected to begin on March 3 and finish by March 15, 2026.
