Heavy monsoon rains have battered large parts of the Himalayas, leading to severe floods and landslides in Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, and neighboring Pakistan.
Reports say at least 36 lives have been lost in Kashmir alone, while over 1,400 villages in Pakistan are submerged. Experts call this yet another sign of worsening climate change.
